Step 4

Weekly Evaluation and Recognition

Transparent evidence for recognition, not an automatic employee rating.

Weekly evaluation and recognition flow
Weekly evaluation happens after manager review, not while someone is entering their work.

The Sunday process

Read the current week's stored tasks

Use manager-reviewed priority

Apply configurable category and priority weights

Add small highlight or challenge points where relevant

Cap the score per task

Store results, produce reports and update the current four-week period

Make the logic understandable

Stars = category weight + reviewed priority weight + small highlight / challenge contribution

The exact values should be configurable. Hours are useful in reporting, but they should not multiply stars.

InputSafeguard
Work categoryRoutine operational work should not appear worthless.
Manager-reviewed priorityManager judgement stays in the loop.
Highlight / challengeUse as evidence and context, not a checkbox to tick on every task.
HoursReport them; do not award more stars for more hours.

Guardrails

  • Do not reward raw task count or task splitting.
  • Cap the maximum score per task.
  • Review weights after the pilot to see which behaviour they encourage.
  • Use scores to support a recognition conversation, never as a replacement for human assessment.
